Bible Reading

“I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”     Job 23:12

Bible Reading Plan

The Bible is the word of God. Through it, God speaks to us. Through it, we know God. Through it, we know His will. It is, therefore, important for a believer to read the Bible.

There are many Bible reading plans that has been set up to help believers read through the Bible in one year. It would be great for our congregation and believers to read the same portions of the Bible together each day. As a start, we will use the Bible reading schedule prepared by Robert Murray M’Cheyne (1813-1843). M’Cheyne first served as an assistant to John Bonar in the parish of Larbert and Dunipace, near Falkirk, from 1835 to 1836. After this he served as minister of St. Peter’s Church (in Dundee) until his early death at the age of 29 during an epidemic of typhus. M’Cheyne’s reputation for godliness and his fervent preaching brought about  revival to his own church and throughout Scotland.
