JSM 2020 Missionary Conference
JSM 2020 Missionary Conference was held on 10-12 September. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s conference was online. Dr Mark Lehman preached on the theme of “Igniting my heart for missions: Starting with prayer”. Reading materials can be found here.

Missions begins with prayer as our response to the Great Commission. We pray to tell God that we are willing to share the gospel. We pray for others to respond to the gospel. We pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send forth labourers. We pray for missionaries as they serve.

Missions is a path of giving. We give our money to help those who are serving as missionaries. We give ourselves to become missionaries. In fact, sharing the gospel is itself a form of giving what we have received.
We give often for missions.

Missions is an act of going beyond ourselves. We tell the person next to us about the gospel. We go outside of our circle of family and friends to share the gospel. We go beyond our race and culture and nation to share Christ with others.
